Increasing demands for mobile phones in the market has created a huge market for mobile phone accessories. Ambrane, a start-up startedwith Rs1 million (US$ 14,518) in 2012, is one of the major market players for mobile phone accessories like power bank, cable chargers, earphones etc. The company enjoys 15-20 per cent market share in the power bank category and is present on all the major e-retail websites like Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal. Ambrane has sold more than a million products across the country and is present in 2 and 3 tier cities as well. The company also plans to diversify the range of products and enter into the audio category as well with about 30 new audio products.

Ambran is a 100 per cent ‘made in India’ brand with the leverage of competitive pricing and a strong R&D team benefited from the Make in India campaign initiated by the Government of India. The company has recorded a turnover of Rs 100 crore (US$ 14.52 million) in the previous year and targets to double it in this year. It also plans to expand the business pan India, offline. After establishing a wide reach in India, Ambrane is now focusing on reaching international markets with great variety of products and competitive price advantage.
